09/3-4, 10am to 5pm daily.

Ever wanted to quite literally leave your mark in glass? In this hands-on (pun intended!) workshop, you’ll learn the full process of creating a life-size glass casting of your own hand—capturing every detail, wrinkle, and gesture.

We’ll begin by making a quick-set alginate mold directly from your hand. From there, you’ll cast a wax positive, refine it if desired, and then use it to create a mold suitable for kiln casting. You’ll explore materials, firing schedules, and finishing techniques specific to sculptural glass casting.

This unforgettable class is perfect for both beginners and experienced glass artists looking to grasp a new technique. All materials are included, and your final glass piece will be picked up at a later date after firing. An optional open studio session is also available as part of this class, if you find you want to do any coldworking to the finished glass piece.
